A photographer captured a great horned owl swimming off the shores of Chicago and posted it to YouTube this week.
The video had nearly 30,000 views Thursday. Many are amazed by the creature taking to the water, rather than the sky.

According to the YouTube description, the owl was forced down into Lake Michigan by two peregrine falcons.
Steve Spitzer, the photographer, took the video at Loyola Park Beach in Rogers Park, Chicago. The owl eventually flew away.
