VSU lockdown lifted after man shot on campus

1:29 a.m. ET Sunday: Virginia State University has lifted a lockdown after a man was shot on campus Saturday night.

According to WTVR, the shooting occurred about 8:25 p.m. The victim was taken to the hospital after being shot in the pelvis, the station reported. His injuries were not life-threatening, authorities said.

The shooting, which reportedly sparked fights and prompted an hours-long lockdown, occurred on homecoming weekend.
