This Oregon man will never forget his canine friend who died from cancer with his emotional video.

A photographer, Ben Moon, based his video on the 14 years he spent with his dog, Denali, New York Daily News reports.

“There’s no easy way to say goodbye to a friend, especially when they’ve supported you through your darkest times,” Moon wrote in the video’s description.

The film is narrated from Denali’s point of view, with old photos of the two and recorded footage.

“I’m pretty sure Ben knows I’m dying. I’m not sure if it’s the cancer or something else, but he’s been taking me to all the places we used to go to and checking on me a lot,” the voiceover says in the video.

What makes their bond so special is that Moon and Denali both battled cancer. Moon suffered from cancer in 2004, but Denali lost the fight a little more than a year ago at age 14.

“Denali never left my side during that intense year, and I was so grateful for his companionship,” Moon wrote in a Twitter post.

The video states Denali's "last night was peaceful.”
