Two Encinitas, California, men fell more than 75 feet down a cliff and onto a beach while playing "Pokemon Go" Wednesday. firefighters said.

KSWB reported that, according to officers, the men were distracted while playing the augmented reality game in which players catch digital monsters in real-world locations.

KNSD reported that San Diego Lifeguard Services reported the incident at 1:12 p.m.

The Encinitas Fire Department found one man unconscious 50 feet down the cliff. Another was 80 to 90 feet down the cliff. He was rescued by crews using a rope.

Firefighters told the Los Angeles Times the men crossed a fenced area to get to the bluff.

"I think people just need to realize this is a game,” Sgt. Rich Eaton of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said. “It’s not worth your life. No game is worth your life."

Battalion Chief Robbie Ford of the Encinitas Fire Department said the men were taken to trauma centers with moderate injuries.
