25 tornado-surviving puppies make trip to find homes

More than two dozen puppies are in Pittsburgh Sunday morning, having made a trip from Mississippi to the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society.
The 25 puppies, ranging in age from 8 weeks to 4 months old, were brought to Pittsburgh on Saturday by the Pittsburgh Aviation Animal Rescue Team.
According to the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society, some of the puppies are survivors of tornadoes that hit Mississippi. They were brought to Pittsburgh to help alleviate overpopulation in one of the poorest communities in the country.
Before being put up for adoption, the puppies will be vaccinated, micro-chipped, spayed or neutered.
The humane society will update their Facebook page and website when the puppies are ready for adoption.
