While many waited for President Barack Obama to address the situation in Iraq at the White House on Thursday, Secret Service officials had to deal with a "small" problem before the speech started.
Just after 8 p.m., a toddler managed to squeeze through the fences on the property's grounds, according to the LA Times. The breach caused a brief commotion, a White House pool reporter told the Times.
While trespassing holds serious consequences for adults, the toddler arguably got off easily.
In a statement, Secret Service spokesman Edwin Donovan said, "We were going to wait until he learned to talk to question him, but in lieu of that he got a timeout and was sent on his way with his parents."
