After playing in only four events over the first eight months of the 2014-15 PGA Tour season, Tiger Woods ramps up his schedule starting at Jack Nicklaus’ Memorial Tournament this week in Dublin, Ohio.

That kicks off a schedule that has Woods already committed to five events over the next nine weeks, with a sixth, the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits in mid-August, also a near certainty.

This marks the busiest stretch for Tiger since September-October 2013, when he played in six events over a nine-week span, including the Tour Championship. Included in that stretch was the most recent of his 79 Tour victories at The Barclays.

Before placing 69th at The Players Championship in Ponte Vedra earlier this month, Woods said one of his goals in ramping up his schedule was improving both his world ranking and FedEx Cup standing to qualify for the Tour Championship in late summer and improve his candidacy for The Presidents Cup in October. He’s currently No. 156 in the world rankings and No. 195 in FedEx Cup.
