When Damien Walker lost his wallet last week, he thought he would be in for a terrible Christmas.
But after checking his mailbox on Tuesday, the Lauceston, Tasmania man was relieved to discover that a kindhearted stranger who went by “Santa Claus” had express-mailed his wallet to him.
“We hope you have a lovely Xmas. Love Santa and family,” read the message inside.
The gesture has made Walker believe in the magic of the Christmas season.
“It was completely anonymous and altruistic,” Walker told the Sydney Morning Herald.
“I’m glad to know that it’s right to still have faith in humanity,” he added.
