Tuesdays can be tough for “The Voice” fans, as those are the days in which undoubtedly a huge talent will be sent home from the singing competition show. Yet, it’s this pressure of elimination that sometimes brings out the very best in these competitors.

That was certainly true on the May 17 episode of “The Voice,” as Team Blake’s Mary Sarah was forced to sing for “The Voice” save alongside Team Christina’s Bryan Bautista and Team Adam’s Laith Al-Saadi.

With her fate in her hands, Mary Sarah tore onto the stage with a rousing rendition of the ultra-spiritual hit “Something in the Water” by Carrie Underwood. Coach Blake Shelton seemed pleased with the performance, encouraging fans at home to tweet their support for their country favorite.

And now, we have your spoiler alert.

Ultimately, Mary Sarah was unable to get enough votes to save her and was swiftly sent home, much to Blake’s disappointment. Yet, there is still hope for Team Blake as Adam Wakefield remains the sole competitor on Blake’s team to go into the “The Voice” Finale next week.
