A Texas man just wanted to mow the lawn, but when he entered his garage, he found a scaly squatter.
Doug Dallmer found a nearly 9-foot, 300-pound alligator wedged next to his lawn mower, according to KPRC.
The incident took place Thursday evening. Dallmer tried to maintain his composure as he moved a safe distance from the gator and called police.
Authorities arrived along with a professional alligator wrangler, but the alligator did not want to give up its new home without a fight.
The Fulshear Police Department posted video of the gator removal on its Facebook page and said that while the alligator thrashed around a bit and knocked items over in the garage, it was not injured.
The alligator was transported to a refuge.
