While on the lam after escaping from a correctional facility, a woman asked editors to use a more flattering photo in the news station's post about her on social media.
Police were searching for Amy Sharp, 18, after she disappeared Aug. 19 from the Surry Hills Corrective Services Cell Complex, according to 7 News Sydney.
A photo of Sharp draped in a red blanket wearing a drab outfit and expression was plastered on social and traditional media, stirring her to action.
"Can you use this photo," she wrote on 7 News Sydney's Facebook post also attaching a close-cropped image of her with a slight smirk. "Please and thank you."
Sharp was found two days later in a park close to the correctional facility, according to the Guardian.
Sharp was in custody for property offenses, according to 7 News Sydney. She will now be charged with escaping lawful custody, according to the Guardian.
