Two powerhouses of the music industry are lending a financial hand to those affected by devastating flooding in Louisiana.
Taylor Swift announced Tuesday that she will be giving $1 million for flood relief.
She told The Associated Press that the state was so welcoming when she kicked off her "1989 World Tour" in the Pelican State last year.
"We began The 1989 World Tour in Louisiana, and the wonderful fans there made us feel completely at home. The fact that so many people in Louisiana have been forced out of their own homes this week is heartbreaking," Swift said.
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga is also supporting those who lost their homes in the rushing water.
Wednesday morning, Gaga announced on her Twitter feed that she and her family are donating to relief efforts.
She did not specify how much or what she is donating.
More than 40,000 homes have been damaged, 60,000 people have registered for disaster aid, 30,000 people have been rescued since Friday and at least 11 people have been killed.
