Mick Fanning might want to take a break from the water for a while.

The Australian surfer made famous after his encounter with a shark during a televised surfing contest was filming a segment with a 60 Minutes Australia TV crew when he suddenly jumped from the water on to a waiting jet ski.

He had seen another shark.

"There he is," Fanning said, pointing to the ocean and telling the reporter he had seen a shark. "Straight out, I just saw it."

Not only was it his first foray back into the water, his mother was also standing nearby, Time.com reported.

She watched the initial shark encounter on her TV.
