Question: What’s dumber than stealing a sweet tea dispenser from a fast food restaurant?
Answer: Posting a video of it on the Internet!
Two Georgia teenagers did both last week, entering the Subway restaurant in Forsyth County, Ga., before leaving with the tea dispenser. While one of the 18-year-olds took the container, the other filmed it with his cellphone, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.
He then uploaded it to Twitter, Deputy Robin Regan said.
“An employee recognized one male and found the video on Twitter,” Regan said. “Deputies arrested both suspects for theft.”
The names of the tea-thirsty teens were not released, but the sheriff’s office did take the opportunity to shame them on Facebook.
“Sometimes our job can be tough,” the department wrote Monday morning in a post about the case. “Sometimes, it’s made easy for us…”
