Starbucks employee delivers coffee, food to police officers after New York explosion
An explosion rocked the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City over the weekend, sending 29 people to the hospital. All 29 people were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.
New Yorkers came out to thank and support their first responders over the weekend.
A video gaining attention online shows a Starbucks employee handing bags of pastries and drinks to first responders Sunday afternoon after the explosion.
"Just wanted to give y'all some coffee and pastries," the man, identified only as Germaine, said, thanking them for their service. "I wish I could give more."
"Thanks a lot, man," police officers and firefighters told the man as he handed them several bags of treats.

Germaine later told KnightNews.com that it was the least he could do.
"I just figured, 'Why not?'" he said. "We should be nice to each other ... I think that would stop a lot of (negativity) ... I think little gestures ... all matter. I didn't think me giving coffee would be news. I just thought that it was the right thing to do."
