Taco Bell is officially the first fast-food restaurant to offer meals certified by the American Vegetarian Association.

The company's CEO said in a statement that the fast-food giant already serves more than 350 million vegetarian menu items each year. He said, though, "Until now (we) haven't been vocal about it."

But with 35 certified vegetarian ingredients (26 of them vegan), customers have plenty of options for creating their own meals, officials said. (Video via Taco Bell)

Don't worry, meat lovers, you too can customize your meals on the company's website and mobile app. But now, you'll be able to click through an entirely vegetarian category. Who knows, you might even make the switch full-time.
