Softball-sized hail recently battered the small town of Glendo, Wyoming.
The U.S. National Weather Service's Cheyenne, Wyoming office posted pictures to Facebook of the hail, which started falling around 10 p.m. Thursday, the post said. The hail was at least 3.5 inches in diameter.
Pictures of people holding the hail show it taking up much of their palms. The pictures were taken after the hail had been melting for nearly an hour, the post said.
A picture also showed a shattered car windshield.
Glendo is located about 114 miles north of the Colorado/Wyoming border.
The National Weather Service has continued to post about severe thunderstorm warnings and the possibility of hail in the Cheyenne area since Thursday.
