It sounds like something that would happen in Florida, but this time a sinkhole has opened up in Virginia.
The hole, which was caused Thursday by a thunderstorm and resulting flooding, swallowed a parked car, leaving only the front end visible to passers-by, the Prince William Times reported.
The Virginia Department of Transportation said a pipe that ran under the road blew out, WWBT reported.
Eventually, the car fell fully into the hole, WRC reported.
There was no word on injuries, according to the newspaper.
The sinkhole actually opened up throughout the day Thursday and stretches side to side on the highway, WRC reported.
The road is expected to be closed for several days, WWBT reported.
