A semi-truck carrying thousands of pounds of Mountain Dew caught fire, shutting down an interstate in Kentucky.

Officials said they are not sure what caused the truck to catch fire on Interstate 275 Tuesday, WXIX reported.

The truck was hauling the popular citrus-flavored soda.

Traffic was backed up for miles and the Carroll Cropper Bridge, spanning the Ohio River was shut down.

There were no injuries, WLWT reported.
