A familiar face is rejoining the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

According to Billboard, guitarist John Frusciante, who was with the band from to 1988 to 1992 and 1998 to 2009, is returning to the group.

Frusciante will replace Josh Klinghoffer, the Chili Peppers said in an Instagram post Sunday.

"The Red Hot Chili Peppers announce that we are parting ways with our guitarist of the past 10 years, Josh Klinghoffer," the post read. "Josh is a beautiful musician who we respect and love. We are deeply grateful for our time with him, and the countless gifts he shared with us."

The band added that it is excited about Frusciante’s return.
