"They liked each other from afar. It was a young love, like a sweet crush," a former teacher told People.

They went from sitting next to each other in class pictures to drifting apart and not remembering each other at all.

Then, while using an online dating site one day, Pounders saw her again.

"She just had this great energy, you could tell. I can't explain it, but I knew I had to get to know this girl," he said to People.

They begin talking immediately and gradually worked their way toward a first date at a local restaurant.

"When I first saw him, I felt that I was staring at the man I was going to marry," she said to People.

It wasn't until later that they found out their paths had crossed before.

He teased her, saying he had a crush on an Amy in preschool. She said she didn't want to hear about it because "it's not me."

They eventually concluded that they had gone to the same school at the same time and asked their parents for photos.

"Justin's mom found a photo of the two of us together and I just started crying," she said to People.

They've only been together for a year but know they will get married.

While he hasn't officially proposed, their dream date and honeymoon has already been set, they said.
