That's what happened Thursday in Iowa, when two pot-bellied pigs ran away, KCCI reported.

Luna and Pumba took off from their home after hearing the fireworks, but were later found cooling off in a neighbor's pool, the television station reported.

ARL Animal Care and Control officials, writing on Facebook, said the neighbors "got a big surprise" when they saw the pigs lounging in their pool. ARL was able to bring the pigs back to their owners.

"Please keep your pets safe and secure as celebrations continue through the weekend," ARL officials wrote on Facebook.
