Police: Threats made at Walmart in Washington state cause evacuation, lockdown

Police in Federal Way, Washington, responded after a threat was called in to a Walmart on Wednesday afternoon.

A Walmart was evacuated and put on lockdown Wednesday in Washington state after a man reportedly entered the store with what appeared to be a handgun and made threats.

Federal Way Police Cmdr. Kurt Schwan told KIRO7 that said officers responded at about 5 p.m. to a "threats with a weapon" call at the store.

A man between 35 and 40 years old was seen on surveillance video exiting the store after a 911 call was made, police said.

Officers searched the area and the store and did not find a suspect, officials said.

No injuries were reported.

Police are investigating and trying to identify the suspect.
