A suspect wanted for his involvement in a shooting that injured 17 people at a New Orleans playground turned himself in Saturday.
Joseph "Moe" Allen, 32, was identified Friday by New Orleans Police Department as being involved in the shooting at a gathering with about 500 people in attendance at Bunny Friend Park Nov. 22.
Allen is in custody and declined to give a statement to investigators, according to a tweet from the New Orleans Police Department.
"This is just the beginning, and we will not rest until we take every suspect involved off of our streets," Michael Harrison, a police superintendent, said in a release.
Allen was arrested and charged with 17 counts of attempted first degree murder, according to investigators.
