Someone broke into the Pulse nightclub less than 24 hours after Orlando police and Florida Highway Patrol troopers released the building back to its owners, according to Orlando police.

Police said the break-in happened Wednesday night, but the department will not release more information until a report is finalized.

A worker outside of the nightclub told WFTV that police were investigating "some sort of break-in."

Omar Mateen shot and killed 49 people at Pulse on June 12. More than 50 others were injured.
