FOX23 reporter Katie Higgins sent the post to Sgt. Dave Walker, of the Tulsa Police Department's homicide unit.

“Intelligence folks said they saw it and they are going to work on it,” Walker said.

Police sent a subpoena to Craigslist but it was not immediately clear how long it would take for information from that subpoena to come back.

While the police said they're taking to post very seriously, Walker added it may be a scam or hoax.

“We don’t have anyone who is unaccounted for," he said. "We don’t have a dead person that we haven’t figured out."

He told FOX23 he had seen a similar situation before, when a 918 number texted people questions about burying a body.

The difference with the latest Craigslist post is that it also mentioned a couple of people by name: A local judge and a Department of Corrections employee.

“Specifically naming those folks means there is some sort of connection,” Walker said.
