Cory Cannon was driving to work around 6 p.m. when he stopped traffic to help a neighbor take the child home, the Star-Ledger reported.

Police told the Star-Ledger that the child might have crawled out of a door left open by an older sibling. The family was unaware the baby was missing until the infant was returned.
