A small aircraft crashed into the St. Johns River on Sunday afternoon near Dames Point in Jacksonville.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said a small, single-prop amphibious aircraft went down.
The pilot was the only person on the plane, fire officials said.
A kayaker pulled the pilot to shore, officials said. There were no injuries.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating.
