An 80-year alcohol ban ended in Bellevue, Pennsylvania, Friday night.
Grille 565 was awarded one of the borough's two liquor licenses. The establishment held a raffle to determine the first person to order a drink.
The town had been dry since 1935, but voters overturned the ban in May.
Business owner Aaron Stubna launched the campaign to overturn the ban nearly a decade ago.
“I have a vision of what this town can become, and it’s such a great little town," he said. "Now we can finally move forward. We can finally move forward. I'm getting a little choked up. It's been such a long time.”
