Panthers quarterback Cam Newton visited with the family of one of the Charleston shooting victims, according to social media posts.
Rev. Sharonda Singleton lost her life in the shooting last week.
She had three children. Her oldest child, Chris Singleton, is a baseball player at Charleston Southern University.

Rashad Alston wrote on Instagram:
"I just want to take the time to thank @cameron1newton for reaching out to me and coming to visit my brother! This guy is a class act and extremely down to earth. You are truly appreciated!"
Chris Singleton said his mom's funeral will be held Thursday at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
