A small typo turned into an embarrassing mistake for the general manager of a minor league baseball team in Pennsylvania.
When Kurt Landes ordered T-shirts for the team recently on his mobile phone, he inadvertently typed a "u" instead of an "i," turning the Lehigh Valley IronPigs into the IronPugs, according to WFMZ-TV.
Apparently they'll play as the IronPugs when they face off against the Syracuse Mets on Aug. 19.
"In what was a simple typo by me, we are now forced to become the IronPugs for this day," Landes told WFMZ.
“It had to have been the autocorrect on my mobile phone. We've all been there, right? Now, like any pig, I have mud on my face,” he joked.
The team is rolling with the mistake and will give away 3,000 IronPugs T-shirts to fans.
The minor league IronPigs play in the International League and hold their home games as Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
