A loud explosion was heard Sunday morning at a Dow chemical plant in Louisiana, but authorities said no injuries were reported.
A vessel ruptured at the plant in Plaquemine, The Advocate of Baton Rouge reported. In a statement, Dow officials said there were no injuries, and there "does not appear to be any offsite impact other than the noise."
Dow officials said they are monitoring the air after stopping flow to the vessel, WAFB reported.
It is not clear what caused the explosion and whether any chemicals were involved, The Advocate reported.
