KOKI reported Debby Ringling, the owner of the cattle, realized they were missing Wednesday. She and her family think they were lured through a gap in a damaged fence to the neighboring Mayes County fairground.

Ringling said the the cows were worth more than $100,000, and she may not recover from the loss.

The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture is assisting with the investigation.
