NFL running back Chris Johnson was injured in a drive-by shooting early Sunday morning, according to reports.
Johnson, who last played for the New York Jets, and another man were injured by gunfire. A third man was killed in the shooting, according to investigators.
Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office arrived to the scene just after 4 a.m. and found Dreekius Johnson, 28, dead in a gold Jeep. The two other victims, identified as Reggie Johnson, 30, and Chris Johnson, 29, were shot on the sidewalk.
Reggie Johnson was shot in the shoulder, hand and leg, and Chris Johnson was shot in the shoulder. They were in stable condition when they were taken to the hospital.
They told investigators they were at a red light when an unknown vehicle pulled alongside them and opened fire into the Jeep.
Police have not commented on any suspect information.
This is not Chris Johnson's first run-in with guns. He made headlines in January when he was arrested and charged with open carrying of a firearm in Orlando. The charge is a second-degree misdemeanor.
