Wood, along with his girlfriend Amy Taylor, are facing charges in connection with the death of La’Rayah Davis, Taylor’s young daughter.

An arrest report obtained by KSNV-TV revealed that Wood made the little girl "run sprints in the apartment, do sit-ups and wall squats."

Wood said he was “trying to get her on the right path due to her being chunky,” police said.

Wood and Taylor were arrested Wednesday in the child's death, after she was found unresponsive in the couple's apartment on Tuesday, KSNV reported.

An autopsy revealed the little girl had suffered extensive injuries, including skull and rib fractures and bruises on her body. She died from a large laceration on her liver.

Wood was charged with murder last week, while Taylor was charged with child abuse and neglect, and could face murder charges as well.
