Forget cat cafes. The latest trend in beverage and animal fusion is owl bars.
Next month, "Annie the Owl" will open in London. According to the bar's website, the pop-up will sadly only last one week. But, it will offer patrons two solid hours of cocktails and one-on-one owl interaction.
The site invites customers to "come say hello, sip yummy cocktails mixed by London's best mixologists and meet the OWL-PACK to see why everyone has been talking about this lot."
The bar is a collaboration between the app Locappy and The Barn Owl Centre in Gloucester, an owl conservation organization.
Those wishing to visit the restaurant will have to register first on its website. A select number of patrons will be chosen at random. But hurry, nearly 50,000 people have already signed up for the chance to spend a little time with the birds of prey.
