He only weighs in around 20 pounds but one brave little French bulldog proved that size doesn't really matter when you've got a mean bark.
On Friday afternoon, two bears--who are believed to be about a year old each--wandered onto the front yard of a home. Another bear was on the balcony but couldn't be seen on the security cameras. Two of the curious bears start exploring the area...until Jewels the family guard dog spots them, reports Fox 29.
"They're in her yard. And there's children here. And she doesn't want that, " said owner David Fernandez. "She's just 20 pounds of fury and she's 20 pounds of heart."
Jewels is seen charging at the bears, barking ferociously, despite the fact that the bears outnumber and outweight the little pooch.
One bear tries to escape by running up the porch but quickly turns around and jumps a fence to get away---all while Jewels is nipping at its heels.
Wildlife officials believe the bears were most likely looking for food and water because of the drought going on in California.
