President Donald Trump took to Twitter shortly after Attorney General William Barr held a press conference ahead of the public release of a redacted version of special counsel Robert Mueller's report into possible Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Update 10:06 a.m. EDT April 18: Moments after the press conference ended Trump posted an image, playing off of the HBO series "Game of Thrones," using the show's font to declare "Game Over."

Previously he had posted a series of edited video clips, saying “No Collusion - No Obstruction!”

Original report: "The Greatest Political Hoax of all time! Crimes were committed by Crooked, Dirty Cops and DNC/The Democrats," Trump tweeted just before 8 a.m.

Minutes later, Trump added in a second tweet: "PRESIDENTIAL HARASSMENT!"

The Justice Department said the redacted report will be released to Congress on Thursday morning and later published on the special counsel's website.

Attorney General William Barr, who wrote a controversial summary of the report last month, plans to hold a news conference at 9:30 a.m. EDT ahead of the report's release.

Early Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer blasted Barr's move and urged Mueller to testify publicly about his report.

"Attorney General Barr's regrettably partisan handling of the Mueller report, including his slanted March 24th summary letter, his irresponsible testimony before Congress last week, and his indefensible plan to spin the report in a press conference later this morning – hours before he allows the public or Congress to see it – have resulted in a crisis of confidence in his independence and impartiality," the statement read.

“We believe the only way to begin restoring public trust in the handling of the Special Counsel’s investigation is for Special Counsel Mueller himself to provide public testimony in the House and Senate as soon as possible. The American people deserve to hear the truth.”
