UPDATE, 8:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14: A missing Virginia mother was found Friday and is safe at an undisclosed location, according to WTKR.
Previous post: A Virginia mother is missing after she sent a strange text message to her husband Tuesday night that said she was on her way to get a head X-Ray, WTVR reports.
Mark Ditto, the husband of Connie Ditto, 41, said he spoke to his wife around 8 p.m. while she was at work and complained of head pains.
“She said she wasn’t feeling well and was going to a walk-in clinic,” Mark Ditto said to WTVR.
Connie checked into the Patient First clinic and texted Mark that she was going to the hospital for X-rays and not to come there. But police informed Mark that although his wife did check into the clinic, she left before her name was called.
After Mark’s final text with Connie her cell phone was turned off. Mark told police he went with Connie’s two children to Patient First and then to other hospitals to look for her. On Wednesday Mark drove around “for hidden places Connie may have crashed,” he said to WTVR.
Connie reportedly fell and hurt her head last week, and also has suffered from alcohol abuse and depression. Mark said he thinks Connie might have gone missing due to her injuries.
"I fear she's driven off somewhere, that she's blacked out and gone," Mark said to WTVR.
Connie was driving a dark blue 2013 Volkswagen Tiguan. She is a Hispanic female, 5-foot-2 and has shoulder-length dark brown hair and brown eyes, Mark told WTVR.
Henrico police ask anyone with more information on Connie to call 804-501-5000.
