In addition to snow accumulations, flooding is a major concern for Massachusetts residents living along the coast.

In places like Plymouth, 4-7 inches of heavy, wet snow is expected to fall during the major winter storm bearing down on the area. But to make matters worse, high tide is expected right during the height of the storm, around 1:30 p.m., and that’s raising concerns along the South Shore.

In Scituate, heavy equipment was busy moving large boulders in front of the new sea wall on Monday.

The coastal flooding is always a concern, and with the combination of high winds, high tide, rain and snow, it’s going to be a mess.

And just in case of an emergency, police got their rescue truck ready and the harbormaster pulled out boats in case they receive any distress calls from boats on the water.
