Orlando police have identified the man who claimed to have a weapon inside Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Update: 2:23 p.m. EDT Oct. 1: Officers shot and killed Brian Baker, 33, when he made aggressive movements toward officers Monday morning, Chief John Mina said. Three officers fired at Baker. Police said did Baker did not have a weapon at all.
Police revealed Monday afternoon Baker had a bus ticket showing he was traveling from West Palm Beach to Kentucky and was on a layover in Orlando.
The officers who discharged their firearms have been placed on temporary paid administrative leave, which is normal for police-involved shootings, police said.
Update 8:43 a.m. EDT Oct. 1: Orlando Police shot and killed a man who claimed he had a weapon inside Orlando Regional Medical Center.
The unidentified man was transported to the hospital early this morning with a medical condition, said Orlando police chief John Mina.
At some point, Mina said the man told staff he had a gun and he would shoot anyone who came near him.
When officers approached the subject made aggressive movements, Mina said officers fired.
Mina said crisis negotiators tried to get the man to surrender peacefully, but that did not happen.
No one else was hurt.
Police have not released the man's name, but said he is approximately 35 years old.
FDLE is now investigating.

Orlando police tweeted the situation is "contained but ongoing."
WFTV's Q McCray reports from the scene that there is no access to the hospital's emergency area.
Orlando Health confirms the heavy police presence but has not said what caused it. The hospital has also not said if there is a lockdown. No one is injured, Orlando Health said.
