Lukas Yla left his home to look for a job in the tech industry in San Francisco.

"I'm chasing my dream," Yla told KGO-TV. "I'm looking for a job at a top tech company."

But to get his resume seen, he had to get creative.

"I was looking for the most direct way to reach decision makers at the companies," Ylab told ABC News. "I thought that I might fail competing only on 'resume level' with other candidates that have work experience in San Francisco."

"I knew that I might be written off just because I didn't graduate university here, or I don't have work experience in the United States," he said.

Yla found a bakery that he said makes "very good tasting doughnuts."

In order to pose as a Postmates delivery man, he ordered a burger through the company and got an idea of how it does delivery.

He was able to get a shirt printed with the Postmates logo - after a few tries at different businesses. He his resume in the boxes of pastries he sent to companies with a note that said, "Most resumes end up in trash. Mine - in your belly."

According to KGO-TV, the company doesn't mind Yla using its logo.

"We loved it," Kristin Schaefer, a Postmates vice president of strategy, said.

It may have worked out for the best: Schaefer told KGO-TV that the CEO is interested.

"He's actually getting coffee with him next week, so you know, maybe he'll even get a job offer from us," she said.
