Man charged after chasing egg-throwing teens, ending in deadly crash

Police: Teens Egging Cars Involved in Deadly Crash

A Texas man has been indicted in connection to a deadly crash.

Christopher Lopez now faces three felonies after police and a grand jury indicted him, after sheriff's deputies said he chased a 14-year-old driver and the teen's friends after they  egged his car, KHOU reported.

The teen ran a red light as Lopez chased his car, and hit a pickup driven by Silvia Zavala. She died at the scene of the New Year’s Day crash.

Lopez has been charged with manslaughter, failure to stop and render aid, and assault with a deadly weapon.

The 14-year-old who was driving the other car was charged with murder earlier this month, KHOU reported.
