Police said surveillance video at Hollywood Casino shows a man taking money from a misplaced purse before he tried to turn it in as a lost item.
Deken Watts, 35, was arrested Saturday night at the gaming facility, 777 Hollywood Blvd., according to the Dayton police report.
Security at the casino detained Watts after he turned in a purse because surveillance video showed him taking two $100 bills out of it, according to the report.
Police said the 62-year-old owner of the purse had accidentally left it on a chair by the slot machines after withdrawing money from the ATM.
When Officers arrived, they reviewed the security camera footage and subsequently handcuffed the suspect.
Watts was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of theft.
