A Hawaii man accused of murder told authorities that the act happened after hip-hop artist Jay Z possessed his body.

Jason Russell Jump, 39, is accused of second-degree murder after police say he killed his landlord, 54-year-old James V. Johns, with a sharp instrument in a toolshed on Dec. 16, 2012, the Hawaii Tribune-Herald reports. According to psychologist Dr. Duke Wagner, Jay Z "has been a constant figure" in Jump's life for some time.

Jump told authorities that they should “put Jay Z in prison for the murder of James Johns and put other Illuminati who’ve been attacking (Jump) in prison, too.” The Herald-Tribune reports that Wagner found Jump to be “unfit for trial” because he “suffers from persecutory delusional disorder” and he didn't find that he is faking any of the illnesses.

Dr. Alex Lichton, another psychologist who examined Jump before the homicide, said he “addressed himself or described himself as the ‘Son of Man,’” usually a term reserved for referring to Jesus Christ. Jump also told Lichton of stomach pains that he attributed to possessions by other members of the Illuminati.

Dr. Leonard Jacobs, a third psychologist, called Jump “uncooperative” and said he left while being clearly intoxicated. Lichton diagnosed Jump as a schizophrenic, and he and Jacobs called Jump fit for trial.

Dr. Edward Valerio of Hawaii State Hospital also said Jump is fit for trial, but recalled a few instances that related to his delusions. “He would say that celebrities are eating away at his stomach,” Valerio testified. Valerio isn't serving as an examiner for Jump but is his attending psychiatrist in a mental hospital.
