Hart reportedly had major injuries to his back when his vintage car, identified by The Hollywood Reporter as a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, crashed. According to the California Highway Patrol, a man named Jared Black was driving the vehicle when he lost control. The car left the road and rolled over down an embankment, trapping Black and the other passenger, identified as Rachel Broxterman, inside.

CHP officials said Hart was able to get out the car. He left the accident and went to his home, which was nearby, to get medical attention. He and Black were taken to nearby hospitals for "major back injuries."

Hart reportedly underwent surgery on his back Sunday night after the accident. The Blast reported that the surgery went well.

Broxterman wasn't taken to the hospital, but she was complaining of pain, according to reports.

TMZ reported Hart will require months of rehab and follow-up appointments, but he will be released from the hospital later in the week.
