Cesia said man, Marcus, replied, “Well, I have a lot of felonies and no one wants to hire me for that, so now I had to turn myself to the streets and get money the only way I know – stealing and asking for money.”

Cesia said she was short-staffed that day and needed help. She offered Marcus a job for two hours washing dishes, according to the post. He accepted the offer with a grin.

Cesia told CBS News that before his shift, she offered him a sandwich. Before eating anything, he wrapped half the sandwich in foil and gave it to a homeless woman outside.

After finishing his two-hour shift, the homeless man went on his way. But the next day, he returned at the same time to wash the dishes.

“So for almost two weeks he has been on time for his two-hour shift, washing dishes, etc.,” Cesia wrote.

She said she plans to make his position permanent.

She shared the story to Facebook and has gotten more than 32,000 shares.

“We want change? Well, start by making one,” Cesia wrote.
