Clinton appeared on the popular Univision show, "El Gordo y la Flaca," Tuesday afternoon, being the first-ever presidential candidate to appear on the show, El Mundo Hispanico reports.
Television hosts of "El Gordo y la Flaca" announced Monday that Hillary Clinton would appear on their show live.
"(This) is the most important announcement we made in the program in 18 years," said TV host Lili Estefan.
Clinton spoke on the show for a few minutes to talk about the difference Latinos can make in the upcoming elections, and the reasons she supports the Hispanic community, Univision reports.
"We can not insult people, or degrade, we want to unite the country," Clinton said on the show. "I want to pay particular attention to the Latino community so that they can finally have a comprehensive immigration reform to pass citizenship."
Clinton also came to celebrate her 69th birthday with TV hosts Lili Estefan and Raul de Molina, which is on Oct. 26, according to El Mundo Hispanico.
The Democratic presidential nominee also began another two-day trip to Florida on Tuesday, stopping at a Broward College campus to urge supporters to vote early and help her secure a victory polls show to be increasingly likely.
