A group of former students recently went back to their Chicago high school to literally sing the praises of one of their former teachers.
Students learned that high school choir teacher Gabrielyn Watson was dealing with health issues and together decided to return to Morgan Park High School in Chicago to show how much they appreciate her.
One of the students, Peter Frank, who was a finalist on "American Idol," returned with several other alums to surprise Watson.
"I realized that I never really had a chance to let her know just how influential she was in my life," Frank told Inside Editon.
In an advertisement by Kleenex, Watson can be seen walking down the hall to what she thought was a teacher interview. But instead, she ran into a group of former students who sang a rousing rendition of "Amazing Grace."
