This grandmother and granddaughter will share a lifelong bond unlike any other.
Tracey Thompson, 53, and Kelley McKissack, 28, are mother and daughter. Kelley struggled with infertility for years, so her mom offered to carry her grandchild for her daughter.
According to the Medical Center of Plano in Texas, Tracey gave birth to little Kelcey on January 6. She weighs 6 pounds, 11 ounces. Grandmother and baby are both healthy.
Kelcey’s name comes from combining both Tracey and Kelley’s names.
Kelley and her husband Arron McKissack tried for three years to have a baby, attempting multiple fertility treatments and suffering three miscarriages.
Tracey underwent several medical treatments in order to carry the baby.
